I have already started the monthly writing prompt and challenge, but this thread will be more of a personal challenge.
Step one: Set a personal goal for yourself. It can be daily, weekly or monthly. Make this a realistic goal for yourself. Come to this thread and post exactly what you are commiting to.
Step two: Check in and give us an update. Share with us your successes and your struggles. How can we help you attain your goal?
Step three: Accept encouragement and return the motivation to others. We are all in this wonderful and sometimes frustrating journey together as writers. Believe in yourself because we believe in you!

My goal for 8/27/07-9/27/07
I am changing my goal! I am going to write 30 min every day while my daughter is napping. I am also going to research for my novel... I want to be fully prepared before I start to write it...
As for my writing...first goal is to search my garage and closet for all my first drafts...kind of a scary thought...my best friend is the only one who has read them...

My goal is to take a few days and write all my ideas down. Once I do that I will see which one speaks to me the most and start on it. Once I get that figured out, I will write a rough draft and start writing it for the month of September. November, I plan on being in full blown writing mood.

My ultimate goal is to have the book finished and ready to edit by December - a lofty goal, I am sure, but I need to try.
