Congratulations to our Mommy of the Week, theveryboredone!

To our special mother, feel free to answer as much or as little as you wish. (Come on, you know you want to write a novel, so here is your chance!)

If there are any questions that you feel uncomfortable answering just leave those blank. This activity is meant to be fun for everyone and will hopefully bring our group closer as writers and friends.

Everyone is welcome to ask questions, whether writing related or life in general questions.

Here are some to get us started!

What is your name?

Were you born with the "write stuff" or did you acquire it?

What is your earliest memory of being a writer? What did you write?

Are you drawn to a certain type of writing?

What inspires you?

Do you have a mentor or an author that has influenced you?

Where and what do you use to write?

What would be your ultimate dream come true as a writer?

What are you working on now?

Well first of all thank you and next here are the answers.

My name is Alyssa Ast- www.alyssa-ast.vpweb.com

I was born with a love of fiction writing but acquired freelance writing web content

I discovered I had a gift for writing in the 5th grade after completing an assignment. It was voted best in the 5th grade. Everyone always told me I had a gift for writing but I never believed them. About a year back I submitted 2 poems for publication just being curious and they were both published. I quess writing has always been a dream, I was just never brave enough to follow it.

I love writing anything I am passionate about. And I have a lot of passions.

A lot inspires me. Different things insire me to write different genre's. Nature and my children normally inspire me to write poetry. Current events and stuff inspire me for my freelance work. There are just too many to list.

For freelance writing Angela Atkinson got me started and supported me.

When I am working on my freelance work I use my laptop in the living room so I can chase the kids. When my creative side pokes through, I take a note book and site outside

My dream as a freelance writer is to make editor. For print I hope to make it into newspapers, publish books and just be a successful writer.

Wow lol currently I have 5 books underway. I have just started freelance photography, I work for 16 different online companies, run a freelance writer information site, and blogging in my spare time. I run a small writers group, mentor fellow writers in becoming a freelance writer, and am co writing a book.

Do you have a harder time with writer's block or with having an over abundance of inspiration?

Do you have a guilty pleasure?

If your life was in book form what would the title be? What would be on the book cover for a synopsis? What type of book would it be?

What five words describe you best?

Do you have any pets?

If you were a fruit what would you be and why?

What do you do for "me" time?

If you could only read one book, other than the bible, for the rest of your life what would it be?

Who is your best friend and why?

What superpower would you like to have and why?

If you could invite three famous people to dinner (living or dead) who would they be and why?

1. Um I never really have a problem with writers block. I have a problem with taking on too many new projects and overwhelming myself. Thats normally when I unplug the computer for a few days to relax.

2. My guilty pleasure whould have to be chocolate..yum

3. Actually my life does have a book that I am almost finished with "Reflections of a Lost Soul" and I dont have a synopsis yet. It is about the journeys I have been through in life. How all the pain I went through in my childhood formed who I am today and the changes I have made. I am also writing another one about being a teenage mom and the stereotypes that go along with it.

4. Stubborn, determined, intelligent, passionate, adventerous

5. I have a 3 month old puppy, 2 birds, and some fish

6. Wow great question lol. Um.....A grapefruit...some people like them and some people dont.

7. lol I havent had me time since my kids were born. But I can occasionaly hide in the bed room for a few minutes to play the guitar.

8. Pappilion

9. I have been best friends with her since we were 2. Going on 20 years now. She is just a great person and is the only one that understands me.

10. Invisibility- I like to observe situations and note human behaviors. If I was invisible I could view peoples reactions better.

11. Bob Hope, I cried when he died. Anne Frank and Ghandi I just think they are very inspirational people. Bob Hope is my favorite comedian.

What was your first job? Were you good at it? Did you love it?

What did you want to be when you grew up?

How did you and your husband meet?

If you could change one thing about your personality what would it be?

What was your favorite childhood toy?

If you could take a trip to any place in the world, where would you go?

If you had to live in another country which one would you choose?

What would you rather do, give a speech in front of 200 people or bungee jump?

If you could only eat one food, and nothing else, for three days in a row, what would it be?

What was your favorite grade in school and why? Describe the preschool you, elementary school you, middle school you and high school you.

What are your three favorite movies of all time?

What's the one thing you'd like to be remembered for?

What is your dream job?

If you had more time, what hobby would you like to pursue?

Would you rather be in the spotlight or behind the scenes?

If you could have anything for dinner in the world, what would you have?

What is your favorite place in the whole wide world and why?

What is your favorite smell in the whole wide world and why?

Lots of people eat "weird" things. What is the one kind of food that you know you will never even try once? What is the most unusual food you have ever tried?

What is the best present you've ever received from someone?

What is the one thing you think they should invent to make your life easier or more enjoyable?

If you were allowed to go anywhere for your next vacation, where would you go and what would you do there?

What is your most precious treasure/sentimental item that you own and why?

When are you (or have been) most afraid?

What has been the happiest day of your life?

If you could change one thing in the world what would you change?

What is the most important thing in your life? (Materialistically and emotionally)

What is the one thing you couldn't live without?

What cartoon character would you most like to be?

What is the hardest thing about being _____ years old?

What is the best thing about being ______ years old?

Describe your perfect day.

If you had three wishes, what would they be?  (You're not allowed to wish for money or another wish!)

How many children would you like to have one day? How many do you have now and who/what are they?

Where would you hang out if you were invisible?

What is it you find almost impossible to say NO to?

What would you do if you knew you could not fail?

Who reminds you who you are when you forget?

Is there something that you memorized long ago and still remember?

What is your favorite season of the year? Why?

Who controls the TV remote control in your family?

Name four items that can always be found in your refrigerator.

What living person, other than family members, do you admire most?

Describe how you'd like your life to be five years from now. Ten years from now.

If your life were a movie who would you want to play you and your leading man?

If you had to live in a different state, which would you choose?

Which would be harder for you to give up, chocolate or coffee?

How old should a child be before they can date?

If you had to paint the interior of your house all one color, what would it be - excluding white and cream?

What job has been your favorite?

What do people often misunderstand about you?

What musician, living or deceased, would you like to meet?

Would you rather live in the country or the city?

What's your idea of a perfect night out - or  in?
