My lupus seems to be more CNS related lately.  I am getting burning in my legs and twitching.  Thoughts?

Stress

I seem to be having much of the same problem, and all I can think of is stress.  I did not mean to come off as a smart butt.  I think the longer we have our wonderful disease, the more we will notice it in our higher affected systems.  I feel mine also is a CNS issue, I have memory issues, twitching, spasms etc...  Good luck I hope it strightens out soon.

Ugh, I'm sorry.  I have CNS Lupus and it SUCKS.  I get these shocks all over and twitching sometimes so I know what you are going through.  The only thing I've found that helps mine is heat, for some reason if I put a heated blanket on really hot until I can't stand it anymore it will make it go away for a while.  Have you tried a TENS machine?  I'm trying one now and having some good results, its mild electrical shocks, I'm not very experienced with it yet but so far I'm liking it.

I have a numbness in my arms or legs and I thought it was stress too but I notice hormonal changes can egg it on such as period, ovulation or when I am breastfeeding etc...

Okay so new question.  When you say shocks, do you mean static electricity.  I have a horrible problem with that and somedays are more electric than others, I asked my medical team about and was laughed at.  Interested in your input.

No not static shocks.  Have you ever had a nerve damaged?  When a nerve starts coming back it feels like little zings or shocks or pinches, I get that a lot of the time all over and not in any sort of pattern or any certain area.  I also have times where no matter what I do it feels like part of me is wet.  Like part of my leg or a foot or a hand will just feel like it's soaked when it's not.
