Hi there. My name is Stephanie. I am 28 years old. I have 2 sons. 5 years old and 17 months. I am pregnant with baby #3. I have not officially be diagnosed with Lupus but my doctor thinks I have it. I am scared. I have been reading some of your posts and I am afraid that this is a death sentence. I have a fear that I will die young and not get to see my kids grow up and get married and have kids.
Nah you'll be fine ;) . Something like 85% of Lupus patients live a normal life. Check out http://www.lupus.org/ for more information about the illness. There are varying degrees/varying types of Lupus.
I was int he same boat when I was pregnant with my 3rd baby and found out I had lupus and I was fine after that pregnancy and breastfeeding was over I went on meds and was in better shape then ever with my medical issues. IT IS NOT a death sentence unless you ignore your treatment and you happen to have a severe case. Talk to your dr and let him know your fears! you can message me at any time I understand what your going thru but just knw your not alone I even went on to have a 4th baby and even tho at the moment my rashes are bad my sypmtoms are more undercontrol now then ever! Hang in there!
