I was seeing a Dr for like ever.. since I wsa 6 and I started having symptoms of Lupus, so me and my Dr did blood test after blood test after blood test. It took him 3 years to commit to a Diagnosis of Lupus. I have had to switch to state funded Drs and they are going to make me go through all of this again... because " Lupus is a serious diagnosis"
Have you had to go through all of that again? What test did you have to do to diagnos yours?
We all know that your body can show Lupus/not Lupus over and over gain.... And Im waiting on my SSI decision..... GRRRRRR

Ugh I know how you feel. Every time I've switched rhuems they run their own new tests and have to rediagnose me. I hate it, so stupid. Hang in there!
yeah my drs do run the tests over and over when I switch but they all agree I have it, although some of the markers arent postivie the ANA is and I have most of the symptoms I think the drs are skepticle of me b/c they see how acitve I am but im just a grin and bare it kind of person no one knows the pain I have on a regular basis it sucks:(
Thank God I am not alone. Thing about it is... since it is a state funded clinic they are going run and run and run test... just so they can get money. WHY put someone through that crap? I mean don't Dr's have some kind of respect in general for OTHER drs???
GRRRR Plus these state funded ones wont go on symptoms, which I have just about ever symptom in the book.
Mom of 3... I am a grin and bear it type as well, I soooo get what you mean
Why do these doctors not look at the pervious tests that were preformed, besides the obvious (money.) I understand getting a new set of some of the data, but not all of it, especially when they use the same labs. I would think that the government assisted programs would not let that happen, so they could help cut the budget.
Yeah I dont get why they coninuously run the tests I feel like a pin cushion at times and I feel like they do it b/c they dont believe me
