I have been on dex since october and am almost weened off just a few more weeks to go but I experience terrible taste in my mouth and it feels like I've burnt my tongue terribly. Is anyone else on dex and if so have you experienced this..what did you do to help it or is there anything you can do?

What is dex? I've been on a couple of drugs with dex in the name with various side effects.

Ah I have taken that in the past but I don't think I had any side effects.  But I'm on prednisone and macrobid for my recurrent kidney infections (plus a whole ton of other meds) and I get an awful taste in my mouth after I take those two in the evening.  It doesn't feel like I've burnt my tongue from it though.  I also have sjogrens so lots of other things do make me feel like I've burnt my tongue.  Do you take your meds with water or something sugary?  I can't do citrus juices anymore.

No...I usually try to take them with water...but today my tongue is better so maybe I did burn it and didn't realize it or don't remember...good ggrief how can u not remember somethin like that...lol. anyway I'm on a laundry list of meds too including cell cept and plaquenil and I get weekly injections of NPLATE which is chemo drug they are using to treat my ITP whis is THrombocytopenia---which is where my body attacks my platelettes causing my blood not to clot. So the smallest knick or cut could kill me in minutes. Well not now it wouldn't but when this started I could have b/c my platelette count was zero a normal heathly person has around a millionor so...ANYWAY everything is good now and feeling better everyday!
