I actually was diagnosised on 1/30/2008. I have been "sick" since May and my family doctor brushed me aside, made it seem like it was all in my head. He ran some tests(lupus not being one of them) and when they came back good, he sent me to the neurologist. He didn't believe me either but I kept on talking, and made them take me serious. So I had an EMG test done. My nerves were good, there was some weakness in the muscles. He then put me on a steriod around Christmas. It was like the Zpack type. Well he was not happy that the higher doses of steroid worked. So I had a muscle biopsy done. The test came back normal. He said my muscles are healthy. I had bloodwork done, and I got a call. My B12 level was low so they started me on shots. Then on Thursday, the nurse told me to wait, she needed to talk to the doctor. She then told me the doctor wanted to talk to me. He said that one of my tests came back positive and wanted to talk to me about it. He told me it came back positive for lupus. I have to go back to my family doctor, and then to a new doctor.

Let the fun begin! LOL
