I started my business a year ago.

Hello, My name is Rachele. I currently stay at home, and I am searching to find just the right business to work. Yesterday, I invested $144 in a business that promises me a personal coach ( which was the main reason I started it). I am not sure how it will work. I Have spent a lot of money and tons of time on things which either don't work or I just don't do it right. I am currently taking orders for custom made Easter baskets and selling a few of them online. I am considering doing a basket making business but I am also want to do something bigger. I need to make atleast $1,000 a month income right away or I will be forced to go to work someplace terrible, like a call center. In everything I have tried, the hardest part of being self employed is finding fresh leads and new customers without pressuring people. My name is Tammy , I'm 40 years old and live in Jackson, MO.  My business is Personal assistant and Organizer, with my good friend Lucy.  We just really got the business running last month but are having trouble getting the word out without spending a fortune on advertising because everything comes out of our own pockets, we didn't take out a loan nor intend to.  So we provide a service and have a primitive web site which I did myself, but mainly I have been trying to promote it through word of mouth and handing out business cards and flyers.
