I've been dancing ballet, jazz, and a little bit of other types for many years. Belly dancing is something I've been interested in, but the weekend after I found a decent instructor, I crashed my car and ended up with some serious back and hip issues--ironically. It's only been the last few years that I'm back on track. My husband bought me a coined hip skirt last time he was in Iraq (a couple years ago), so I have fun making lots of noise with my own interpretation of belly dancing. I think my son and animals like it too... or are rather annoyed... not sure which yet! Good thing none of them can tell me yet! Haha! I've always found the library rental videos boring, but since 'Shimmy' came on tv, I've been really getting into it again.
Does anyone know of any instructors in Columbus, GA? I heard Dalilah is here, but I'm not certain about that.

I don't bellydance but am interested in it. The woman I work with used to take classes. She took me to a show last year, was VERY cool. I went to Epcot center in FL last year, and we visited Morocco. I ALMOST bought a scarf, CD, and couple other things in a kit. I didn't because it was $120. Wish I would have......lol.
