See what CafeMoms are saying about saving time this holiday season..
The recipe I like to use is from this great little cookbook that has great "Turn him on" recipes lol... but here is the equivalent to it from the web.
Its really tasty and i agree about the corn and sugar- the sugar reacts to the beer and just a pinch goes a long way to intensifying the flavor of the sauce.
This ladys recipe is good - however One other thing I would add is once the mussles have opened, remove them from the broth add a teaspoon of margarine or butter (I use brommel and brown yogurt butter) and reduce it down just a little bit more to bring out even more flavor- then arrange the mussels on a pretty dish and ladle the broth over the top..mmmmm... sooo gooood!

Try adding the kernels from 2 fresh ears of corn and a pinch of sugar to the lager mixture in step 2.
NOTE: recipe editor would not recognize the 3 1/2 lbs of live mussels needed for this recipe.
I'm a Chefwife. I have my baby eating steak, and I do It in the kitchen...
