I have a nephew (5yrs) that got attacked by 2 dogs and he is in bad shape, He is getting better but he still has a long road ahead of him. His mom has had to miss alot of work and she is not wanting to leave her son and she shouldn't. But the bills are still coming in and she's not working so I want to help her out with a fundraiser of some sort and I have no clue how to do it. Does anyone have any ideas on how to get one going? I know that I will have to prove this happened to him right? And if I am right how do I prove it? I mean I can get pics and maybe a newspaper but is that enough? Just any help on this would be great. The family is helping out as much as they can but they still have bills coming in too so they can only help so much. PLEASE help me on this THANKS SO MUCH!!!!!!!

Please do me a favor and don't ask me for the kind of dogs because people get mad if I tell them my opinion on this. I have already posted before about my nephew and you can find out more from my journal post but please don't tell me I'm wrong about the dogs. I love animals very much but they are animals and they come after the kids. So please don't send me any bad messages about what I have to say about these dogs. Thank You Beth

I have helped organize a local fundraiser for a friends daughter. We did several things. First was select a place. We called a few resturants around town the one we really wanted it to be at agreed. They also helped donate a big raffle prize which was a $100 a month tab for a whole year. So as people came in the resturant we sold them raffle tickets. The next thing we did was a silent auction while at the resturant. We called local buisnesses to see if any would donate anything. We propbablly had more nos then yeses but dont be discouraged because we did get about 15 packages that were probally all close to a $500 worth total. We also just had a bucket for those that just wanted to donate. We contacted the local papers and news stations to advertise the fundraiser for us as well. All in all our total came out to be $5000+ in just 4 hours. Oh and we also had a performer come and play at the resturant as well.

I am so sorry to hear about your nephew and I sure hope he gets to feeling better soon! I am not afraid to post my opinion but 12 cents would have done the trick, no questions asked! pow!
