Have any of you seen that commercial about abused & neglected animals? It plays "In the Arms of the Angels" by Sarah McLachlan in the background, and she is asking for donations, and is talking about how we can all make a difference to stop animal cruelty...well, I was just thinking, ya know, I am an animal lover, and I do think it is very sad that some animals go through what they do, but what about children? I have NEVER seen an "infomercial" about child abuse, excepting donations for victims or telling people what they can do to help them! Since when have animals' lives become more important than human beings, especially innocent little children!? I think this just proves what kind of world we live in...people can abort (murder) unborn babies, children are starving in other countries, and children are dying from stray bullets in Iraq...but PLEASE "protect the animals!" --JMO.

I know PETA gets so much more attention than any other group and I think alot of it has to do with their radical way at approaching things.  Maybe thats what we need to do is be more radical about child abuse and then just maybe then ppl will pay attention.  I was blind to all the abuse this country delivers to our children until joining this group and atleast and I say at the very least once a week Im adding another child and another family to my prayer list for this abuse.  i have not been quiet on saying I feel that the system screwed Tina and Phillip too.  They most definately deserve their punishment Im not saying they don't but the system is set up in such a backwards way and they need to revise itself.  The lives of these innocent children are at stake.  There are more drugs out there that have long term effects that ppl are taking while young and exctasy is just one of them and it causes many mental problems and with prego comes post pardum sometimes and its not looked at very well.  I was a druggie from hell I have done it all up to shooting up and I have always been honest with my dr's and anyone else in my life about it.  But with my honesty I may not get as many pain pills as the next one but things have such an effect on your body and your brain and if a doc don't know to look there he don't know to be aware.  My doctors know that I've been clean for years but I've also informed my sons pediatrician of my past too just to make sure he is well taken care of in case my past has put issues upon his health.  ( I was clean long before my son, no drugs or alcohol during prego)   Children are raised so immoral no values and selfish these days and now they are producing their own children and they don't like how much they have to give up for their children where as others of us don't miss that part of our lives the selfish ones do.  I hope that we as a group can maybe do something about this.  We are placed all over this country and there is no reason we can't come up with some idea of awareness to get it out there.  Thank you so much Brandi for your love and concern for these children and may God bless you in all that you are doing for these children.

After watching some child abuse videos on youtube and hearing that song, one day I hear it on the tv and ran to the tv but then I noticed it was the animals too. I thought it was something about child abuse but it was about neglected animals. It made me sad because there are more then likely more child abuse cases that are way more important. Yes animals are too but I would rather a commercial of children then animals.

That is true.  I've seen commercials on child abuse but more for animals.
