Hello everyone! my name is Heather, and I am so very confused, I had my first baby at 21, my sons dad left us when my son was about a month old so I was basically on my own, I never ever thought about hurting my baby then or my 3 month old I have now. I really don't understand!! these people that do these horrible things really must have some serious mental issues because who hits a crying baby to try and make them stop crying? When my 3 month old was 3 days old he was admitted to children's hospital in Knoxville TN because he was vomitting feces, I could not feed him for 4 1/2 days, this was torture for me because I was breastfeeding him, and he would start to cry whenever I went near him. Can anyone explain to me the why and how?

I really can't tell you! I don't understand it either. I was a single mom of two children for 5 years. No help at all. I never had the urge to hurt my children either. I cry for these children who are hurt or murdered at the hands of their parents!!! Or by anyone! I don't think I will ever understand what makes someone hurt a baby or a child.
