URGENT PRAYERS NEEDED!

Last night, Travis went to work with his uncle Mark & my dad came to pick Chase and I up from my house, to have a "Potty Party" at Ci-Ci's Pizza, to celebrate Chase's potty-training sucess. After Travis got off work, he met us there, bringing his friend Shawn along. We all had a great night, ate lots of pizza & played in the game room. When it came time to leave, my dad went ahead and took us home, and Travis went back to Shawn's house. Little did we know that it would be the last time we saw him. Shawn decided he wanted to come back to our house, so he followed behind Travis. Shawn wanted to show his car off, and came around Travis, speeding. He went around a curve, lost control of his car & hit a tree. He died almost instantly, breaking his neck & internal bleeding. Travis pulled over, got out of his car & went to check on him. Shawn's whole rear of the car was pushed against the driver's seat. Travis checked his pulse which was very weak, and when he yelled his name to wake up, blood started coming out of his ears. He called 911 & police and ambulance were there in minutes. He then hysterically called me, I called my Daddy & Daddy rushed to Travis's side. When ambulance got there, they pronounced him dead & put a white sheet over his body. Shawn was a nice guy, from what I knew of him & he was only (I think) 24 years old.

Investigaters came to our house this morning & recorded and questioned Travis about the incident. Travis told them what happened, and they told Travis that there were three reports of street racing, one of which came from one of Shawn's friends. There were no witnesses, only him and Travis on 204, around 11 pm. We think police were just trying to get Travis to "confess" to street racing, because they often do that when investigating & interrogating people. It also was not looking good on Travis's part because back in 2004, Travis was involved in a fatal car accident, which killed the passenger in his car, his long time family friend, Daryl. Travis was charged with a misdemeanor for having found marijuana in his system, which was irrelevent to the wreck, because he had smoked it 2 weeks prior, to 'celebrate' his 18th birthday...he is now [almost] 23, and is married with soon-to-be 2 children. Travis had to serve 3 months in jail, and will be on probation until January 2010 & had to pay an $8,000 restitution fine. That was almost 5 years ago, and now they are trying to say that they were street racing & that Travis is now facing a possible felony charge, IF they can "prove" it...which will be 20+ years in prison...
