I'm happy to announce I'm having another baby :) but I am not sure how to welccome/celebrate this one..... I don't need another Blessingway since I am already a mother- do I do a baby-blessing or baby welcoming ceremony? Any thoughts, ideas, suggestions?
Thanks!!

by BonesDragonDew on Oct. 31, 2008 at 5:58 PMCongratulations on baby #2!!!! I would totally do a baby naming or welcoming ceremony. Or both for that matter. They should have a special moment where they are dedicated. ~Hillarie~Mom of 3 |

by Guaranteed on Nov. 14, 2008 at 5:26 PMI don't know why I didn't see this post sooner, Congratulations! I think a baby-welcoming ceremony would be beautiful for your child. How are you involving your son? I am hoping for more children, but I don't know how I would prepare my son for a sibling-he is very possessive of us and our affection.

by BryRon on Nov. 15, 2008 at 7:47 AMCongratulations! Having 2 children (or more) is indeed a blessing. I like the idea of a naming ceremony....and so far as a baby blessing vs baby welcoming: do both. And involve your son, too!

by MorriganzMommy on Nov. 15, 2008 at 3:08 PMCongrats on number 2!!! I have to agree with...well everyone, doing both is best. I also want to add that including the big brother is important. Give him a chance to do something special for the new arrival when it happens. This is a big addition and a huge change for your son he needs to feel involved. Brightest Blessigs and Best wishes on your growing family Christina |

by Cheyennesmommy4 on Dec. 16, 2008 at 11:50 AMCongrats on baby #2. We did a baby blessing ceremony with a whole coven of witches when Cheyenne was 3 months old when we went to AK. It was very beautiful. There were about 30 or so witches including my husband and I. Cheyenne was an Ostara baby, she was born a few days after Ostara but to the gods, she was born during a Eclipse of Virgo and Pisces. She is very in tuned with mother earth. After her ceremony, she became amazed with the elements, when we would go hiking, crossing a creek, she would look down at the water and examine how it moves. She loved it when we lived in Georgia, she was surrounded by nature and wouldn't want anything more.
