Some one sent mail asked me what kinds of things I do with my children for yule.

My youngest is now 22 and now longer lives with me.

I did many things with them as they grew up.

We started during the first week of December with lighting a candle every week until we had four On our Dinner table.

One a week to encourage the sun to come back. By the fourth week we had 4 burning on our kitchen table for dinner and ate by candle light alone.

They always got to open a gift before bed, which just happened to be jammies on Yule eve.

They got to role play the Oak King and Holly King Battle with wrapping paper tubes we decorated to look like swords or like sticks.

They were also dressed in costumes we had taken the four weeks before to make a little of each week until Yule night. This was their part of theYule  ritual.

Have fun and use your imagination.
