Hi! I am so glad to find some like-minded mamas on this site :) Thank you all for joining and I look forward to learning about the ways we raise our kids to respect the earth and the seasons and themselves!
I was raised finding fairies in the forest, putting aloe on my burns, celebrating the change of seasons, drinking chamomile tea for my tummy aches, and finding blessings when I need them. I led a more openly magical adolescence and now a subtle natural parenting, personally spiritual adulthood. Although as my baby grows, I yearn to teach him more about the earth and her magical ways, the universe, gods and goddesses, spirits in the trees, the power of the elements, etc....

I haven't posted rules, since I try not to be to strict, ignorant, etc., but I will not tolerate any negative comments belittling or bashing of others (not that I expect them with our members, but you never know who may choose to join...)

Please introduce yourself upon joining the group, tell us what you feel comfortable with regarding your background, children, etc.

  • Merry Meet!

I'm Kate and I am hugely pregnent!  My little goddess is due to be born March 23.  Right around the Spring Equanox!  So when Mother Earth is giving birth...so shall I!  And I feel as tho this has brought me closer to the Mother Goddess.

I placed a baby for adoption 5 years ago, so I've done the pregnency and birth thing...but this is my first time doing the Mom thing.  My fiance has an 11y/o son from his "practice marriage",as I call it, and he is scared to death of having a daughter.  He does not fear a Baby girl...he's frightened of 13 years from now!  He'll get over it.  I've already started planning her Menarch.

I've been walking wuth the Lady for 10+ years.  I a mostly solitary, but I do have a *circle* of friends I get together with for the Sabbats.  Saturday, they came over to our house for Imbolc.  We made candles and enjoyed some Lamb Stew and Root Veggie Stew!

    Blessed Be!

  • Hello All!

I am in Labor Doula in Denver Colorado.  I currently do not have any children, but within the next year, I'm thinking that me and my S.O. will be heading in that direction.  As a pagan, and a Labor Doula, I find myself seeing the connection between a person's spirituality and birth, so I guess over the next year a goal of mine would be a doula to a pagan mom.  I think that would be very rewarding!

    blessings to you and yours,

    Nicole

  • Howdy all,
Lor from Colorado here.  We have eight kids-two grown and gone (well, almost gone...kinda sorta gone....okay, she's here most weekends) and I use the Circle Round book more than almost any book in my rather large collection.  Love it!  We started bringing the kids into Paganism a couple of years ago when I was telling the story of Demeter and Persephone in preparation for the Samhain celebration.  They really loved it and it sort of turned the light on for them that everything is connected and alive.  That's when I got my Circle Round book and since we homeschool it's been our constant companion.

  • Welcome Lor! So glad you have joined us. I LOVE your quote! I don't see the latin much... It reminds me of my favorite one from And the Band Played on- 'When the doctors start acting like businessmen, who do the people turn to for doctors? "
Sounds like you've got a LOT of parenting experience! Can't wait to share stories, rituals, and events!

  • Hello to all.  My name is Rachel I am a solitary Celtic based Wiccan.  I love the idea behind this group.  I am just starting to homeschool my preschooler to get her ready for kindergarten and was just looking last night for color pages and found a site that had some for children that were pagan  and nature oriented (I will put up the link later).  I really want my children to have a respect for the Earth and nature as they grow.  Hopefully you guys can help me in incorporating that.  Oh almost forgot, I am a SAHM to a 8 month old baby boy and a 2 year old "terrible twos" toddler.  She is getting better luckily though.

  • Welcome Rachel and thanks for joining!
I'm going through similar preschool planning stuff with my toddler now (I'll have to check out that link!)- since they refuse to include any nature activities at his daycare, I find myself supplementing his "education" through Circle Round activities, as well as just feeling tree bark, rolling in the grass, looking for fairies in our garden...
We even started to learn the constellations. Daddy and I have been pointing them out to him each night when we come home and he stares at them in the hot tub at night.
Glad to have you in the group,
    Jill

  • Hi, my name is Julie.

I'm a mom to 7,  and definitely an eclectic Pagan momma!   My other half & I are both pretty spiritual, but very different.   I guess that's why we get along so well!

I guess you'd say I'm a kitchen witch more than anything, although I have been studying the Celtic gods & goddesses.

I'm looking forward to meeting & chatting with everyone here!

    Bright Blessings!
