Please help me stop my boy from tring to bite my nipples off........

I need advice about how to get my son from stop biting my nipples during feedings. He has 4 teeth now and knows how to use them.....OUCH! He started biting my arm and belly but now he bites my nipples during feedings. How can I get him to stop or not to hurt so much??

I love my boy! breastfeeding

When my son started to get teeth, he would also nip while he was nursing. Talk about painful! All I had to do was pop him off the boob, tap him lightly on the mouth and say "No biting." After a few repetitions of this, he figured it out-biting means no boobie (at least for a minute). You could also try to give him something to play with while he's nursing, like wearing a sturdy colorful necklace, or letting him hold his fav. toy while he's nursing.
