9 month supply change? What?

I'm pretty alone in the breastfeeding world here. No one I know does it. No one has real advice or support so I turn to CM for help when I need it.

My son is nearing 9 months old and my supply is decreasing? Shouldn't it be going up if anything? We do some solids with him but we don't push it. Usually on the weekends when he is with me all of the time he gets maybe 2 oz of a puree or some cereal. But that's it. He's a growing boy and I want to be producing enough. I'm already taking fenugreek and I am just barely getting 3 oz total every 2 hours. Maybe a little less.

I have been super sick with a sinus infection/throat infection for over a week too. I don't know if being sick affects your supply.

Help?

Are you pumping because, I have heard in the breastfeeding cafe mom group that your pumping output dips after 6 months. If you exclusively pumping then you could have a higher amount. Average pumping output is between .5-2 oz. per session. So 3 oz. is great. Are you drinking enough fluids? When you are sick I have heard of dips in supply when sick. Check out the breastfeeding moms group it has more activity. I am almost to a year with my DD and have only been sick once. My daughter got sick eat the same time ansd she still nursed the same. Her nose was clogged so she nursed sitting up. Hang in there. The best way to ensure more milk is to put your baby to breast frequently. Cut back on solids if you notice a reduction in nursing. Babies only need breastmilk for the first year. Food is just icing and remember to nurse first and then offer solids.
