International Board of Lactation Consultant Examiners Revises Eligibility Criteria for 2009 Exam



The International Board of Lactation Consultant Examiners (IBLCE) is pleased to announce revisied eligibility requirements for those who want to become board certified lactation consultants. The revised requirements are simpler and easier to understand. The board wanted to advance the lactation consultant profession by encouraging lactation education programs at academic institutions.

the Candidate information guide is not yet available, but i've been told that they will email it to you once they get it. i hope to test next year, anyone else?

currently i am a RN, but also a sahm. i have been breastfeeding my daughter for almost 8 months. i LOVE breastfeeding, and am extremely passionate about helping others. what do i have to do to become an ibclc? i will also do research on my own, but coming from other mommas is always the best. tia, ladies!

I too would like to know how to become a ibclc. Someone please help! Thanks, ladies!! :D
