SpongeBob Squarepants may make your kids laugh but he may also be hurting their brain development.

New research released Monday suggests moms and dads should not only limit the amount of television their children watch, they should also limit the kind of shows their kids see.

"We shouldn't just assume that because they’re being quiet in the living room, that everything is OK," said Dr. Michael Rich.

HAHA!  Good one.  So, I'm guessing that your kids don't watch SB?

I always knew there was something wrong with Spongebob.  I can't stand him!  My oldest loves it, but when I happen to catch it in between doing housework, I think that it's just wrong to call your supposed friends, "Stupid" and there's just something up with Patrick.  I also get some underlying tones that Spongebob and Patrick are gay.  I don't have problems with people being gay, but I don't think it's appropriate to put in a cartoon aimed at young kids.

That's the last straw, as far as Spongebob is concerned!
