CHICAGO - President-elect Barack Obama says he and Republican Senator John McCain plan to work together to "fix up the country."
The two former rivals met in Obama's transition office Monday in Chicago.
Rahm Emanuel, Obama's incoming White House chief of staff, participated in the meeting, as did McCain's close friend, South Carolina Republican Senator Lindsey Graham.
When asked if he planned to help the Obama administration, McCain replied, "obviously."
