I had my 6 month post op. All of my vitamin levels were fine, however my protein was too low. Also, the Dr. said that I should be 30 lbs lighter than i am..This is very stressful.
I have not lost any weight in about 3 weeks..I think this is mostly due to my lack of protein.
As soon as I got home that day I got serious about protein.
I bought some protein powder that is tasteless (nectar medical). I add 2 scoops(20 grams), fruit, greek yogurt, milk and ice in my blender and make a smoothie...it is really great and very filling. This adds up to more than 30 g of protein..
I also bought some pistacios to snack on. I drink muscle milk too,,
I hope the weight loss revs up a bit,,this is depressing...
