I was diagnosed with breast cancer on Friday the 13th in 2007, a day I consider my "lucky" day. I had a double mastectomy with reconstructive surgery in August. I was lucky ~ stage 1 with no chemotherapy needed. I do have to take Femara for 5 years because my cancer was estogen fed. I found this group when searching for answers to my questions and the group became a life line for me. The group founder, Gems (Kelley) sadly lost her battle with cancer in 2008.The group continues to be a safe place of support for women who have, had or know someone with breast cancer.
