I just wanted to let everyone know the reason why I've been a little distant from the group lately. We found out 2or3 weeks ago (haha I can't keep count anymore) that we're expecting our 3rd  child. And with all the excitement comes the extreme nausea and the over welming need to sleep. I haven't actually been sick yet but I feel sick almost the entire day. So I haven't been spending much time on the computer. I spend most of my time of the couch and very little in front of the sink, I am so behind on the house work. I will be so happy when this phase ends. But enough complaining. I go to the doctor for the first time this Wednesday so I will have more details to share as far as a due date and stuff.

  • Well I found out that I am 11 weeks. However I wasn't given the due date. The main focus of the visit had been on some health issues. Since becoming pregnant I have had a really hard time breathing. I'm almost always out of breathand have a really hard time catching my breath. I was having trouble while in his office and after listening to my heart beat he decided to send me to a cardiologist. Which of course sent me further into panic mode making it even harder to breathe. I've been asked over and over again if I was having panic attacks. And to be honest I'm not sure. It's hard to pin point when the breathing problem starts but I do know that any little agitation makes it worse. So it's hard to say what this looks like right now but hopefully we will find out soon. They are supposed to call me on Monday to tell me when the appointment will be with cardiologist will be. I'm praying it won't be far away. But I do come with good news, the nausea seems to be letting up. The last 4 days I've only been sick for very small amounts of time; I couldn't breathe the whole day but hey at least I didn't feel like throwing up too. :) "Fear not for I am with you; be not dismayed for I am your God. I will stregthen you, yes I will help you, and I will uphold you with my righteous right hand." Isaiah 41:10

  • Here's the latest on me. The breathing was getting worse through the weekend. So I called the doctor back today to get some other blood work done that he had suggested before and to get the ball rolling faster with the specialist.  They agreed to see me and get some blood work done. But they changed their minds and wanted me to go to the er instead to make sure things weren't worse then first expected. Well this didn't settle well with Johnny. We have to pay way to much for er visits and the results are never worth it. So he called them back and insisted that they find someone else for me to see at a regular doctor's fee. So they sent me to the clinic instead. The doctor there drew the blood for the blood work that my Ob was wanting done and she hooked me up to some monitor for a couple minutes to monitor my heart rate and oxygen level. Both of these tests came back fine. So they want to hook me up again for a 24 hour test which I go back tomorrow for. SHe said that it sounded stress related and that if all these tests come back clean then she will treat me for stress. I wasn't sure that any of this was stress  related but the more I think about the more it seems to make sense. This has been a stressful pregnancy so far.

  • Well lets hope and just expect that its ntohing more serious than stress and that a few weeks from now this will all be behind you..Glad your hubby stepped in and refused the ER visit..its costly ,time consuming and yeah, you end up finding out the same thing if you had been to a regular doc..Keep us posted..Praying for you each day..

  • Thanks for the prayers. They are much needed. I saw the dr about my heart on Monday. He said that he believes that the thyroid is the one causing the problems. But decided to follow through with an ultra sound to just be complete. They ended up finding a tiny hole in my heart. The way I understood it, there is a thin wall between your 2 upper valves and the hole is in that wall. He said that it is really common and that I shouldn't worry about it. He said that he may decide later to go back and close it up but most likely won't. He did say that it could be the cause of my breathing problems. I think he may be waiting till we find out what the thyroid dr has to say. I will go to see him tomorrow.

1 Thess 5:16-18 "Be joyful always, pray continually, and give thanks in all circumstances for this is God's will for you in Christ Jesus."
