I thought it would be a good idea to post some christian books that we've read and would recommend to others. I know I have read some life changing books and can't wait to share them with you. You can post fiction or non fiction books. Just give us the title, author and brief description.

I love to read and there are so many books that I could recommend but I'll start with the 2 that changed me the most.

Just Like Jesus by Max Lucado
I love to read anything by Max Lucado, he's an amazing author. His book Just Like Jesus he affirms the fact that Jesus loves us just as we are but that he loves us too much to leave us that way. His goal is to make us more Christ like in every area of our lives.

Creative Counterpart by Linda Dillow
Wow! This was an amazing (truly awesome) book. In it she tells women how to become the wife, mother, and woman that God had intended for us to be. Every page had a new revelation on it. I was amazed at how much useful information was stuffed in this book. All women should have a copy.

Well I defanitly recommend The Power of the Praying Wife.
Also my SIL just bought me Jesus Calling by Sarah Young, it was recommended to us by a lady in our Sunday School Class. I have not started it just yet, but it came HIGHLY recommended.
I want to add one more and I will stop for now. 90 Minutes In Heaven by Don Piper. I read this book after my second miscarriage last year. And it was AMAZING!!! I am glad to know that my babies are up there and I will see them and the wonderful stuff that they are seeing.

Can't think of many right now, and I don't actually read fiction very often, but a few years ago, I read part of Janette Oke's Love Comes Softly series and just bought the DVD's of the first 3 books recently, and they were just as enjoyable.  I may think of others later.

Finding the Hero in Your Husband by Dr. Julianna Slattery is a good one. It talks about being a submissive wife the way God intended and not how man makes it out.

I really liked "The Excellent Wife".

"Boundaries" and "The Five Love Languages" were also good.

If you are up for some interesting books, try Wendy Alec's "The Fall of Lucifer". It was AMAZING. I loved it, and I also love the Left Behind series.

"Created To Be His Helpmeet", by Debi Pearl

I'm reading this right now... I am doing it with a friend of mine.   It is definitely easier to read and study it with someone else!  It has helped strengthen me and my relationships... although I do often times flall backward.
