What is a surrendered wife? She is a wife who does not try to control her husband but understands that she can only control herself. She knows that she can control how she responds to him which can bring about more peace and understanding in her marriage if she treats him in ways that leave him feeling respected and appreciated. She expresses her needs in a way that respects her husband's choices and doesn't criticize, belittle or dismiss her husband. She chooses to trust her husband in every area of the marriage. She works hard to keep her home running smoothly and happily.

What is a surrendered wife NOT? A surrendered wife is not a doormat, a wimp, a slave, devoid of opinions, weak, etc. She knows that it takes a strong woman to put her husbands wishes above her own and to stop trying to control other people and circumstances in her life, she has a strong sense of self-control and not others-control.

Why would someone want to be a submissive or surrendered wife? To bring greater peace and intimacy to her marriage. Some choose to do this for religious reasons and others follow the teachings from the book "The Surrendered Wife". No matter your reason you are welcome here, we are all here to support each other and offer help, advice and friendship!
