Right now, I have a seat that goes on the toilet. I was thinking of getting a small potty as well, maybe a Baby Bajorn that has the "pot" you can take out and empty? What do you think?

I just bought my daughter her first potty, and it's the Safety 1st totally pink potty at Wal-Mart.  she loves it and it's easy to empty, and it converts so when they're bigger, you can put it on the big potty for them:)  It also has a cushy seat for them.  They have a blue one as well for boys

i wish i knew the brand but i don't! sorry! but its a little, single peice that my 18 month old can manage to get on, go, and get off all by himself without spilling! the key is that its small and simple! i love it! as a matter of fact, we have another potty that came from target. its a potty, stool, and toilet seat topper all in one. I HATE IT! and i never use it since i got this cheap little $10 potty. hope this helps.

The Royal Flush potty chair. It makes music so you know when your little one has gone (and so do they), converts into a step stool and big-potty seat and is very easy to clean and for them to take apart and empty, too, when they hit the age where they want to (my daughter just did this week). Oh, and it's cheap! We're pretty happy with it around here.

My son's almost ten moths and we are starting this week. We bought the baby bjorn little potty it's so cool. one piece easy to travel, fits little butts better and has a great splash guard if you have a boy. (big plus only $10, so buying an extra was completely affordable)

It depends on how big is your baby.  I love, love, love the Baby Bjorn Little Potty.  It's small enough to be washed in the bathroom sink.  It's small enough to be placed in the car backseat/trunk.  Note: I drive a Honda Civic!

I have 3 of them.  I used to place one in the living room, one in the bedroom, and one in the car.  Now I'm at the point of potty-training in the bathroom and car only: so one in the bathroom, and the other 2 in the car (to alternate, maybe one to collect all the urine; plus, then I will always have at least one to take to a "place" with me, like Disneyland).

I also have Baby Bjorn, Dora, and padded Dora toilet seats that go on the adult toilet.

If your baby is too big for the little potty, then I think the Baby Bjorn Potty will be more comfortable.  =)  Have fun!

Does any store sell the Baby Bajorn Little Potty in their store or are they all on-line only?

I came to EC on accident before I even heard of it, 10 years ago when my first child was barely 3 months old. I was doing attachment/continuum concept parenting with him, and noticed that when I went to the toilet, he would go in his diaper. He would also shiver when he needed to pee, and just thought it was funny, and he would get squirmy and grunty when needed to poop, to me it was just funny game how obvious he was. As a joke I took his diaper off and sat him between my legs when I used the toilet and he didn't do any thing for a second so I made a grunt sound and then he pushed his poop out. It was so funny that I had to do it again to show other family members. Then I noticed he would seem to hold it and get fussy as if he wanted to take him to the toilet, so I did, and sometimes to the sink. So the toilet and the sink was his "potty" with me holding or supporting him. anyway, if you have a boy, I would recommend a Potty urinal that I see on the market. I made make shift containers and let my naked son go pee in them as he desired, I used a variety of containters, and unfortunately when my sister was visiting, she put her open purse on the floor and he walked up to it an peed in it. he seemed too small to sit on potties. I lucked out, in California, there is a store called the 99cent only store and they had lots of plastic potties, different colors so I bought one and it was too wide at first but at least low to the ground, and I think it is an equivelent to baby bjorn. I bought a few more at the 99cent store because it was easier to have more than one. I then did infant potty training with my daughter and couldn't find initially small enough, and then the same for my third child. BTW, my second and third were not as easy as first, my second daughter for example would poop a little at a time and it took a while for all the poop of one sitting to come out, she did shiver but it was after. And shivering was after for my third born. However they were both trained between 14-18 months. My first was trained by 8 months. (by trained I mean they didn't need diapers any more, I did have them wear diapers for peace of mind, but mostly they were naked, its funny my first was so easy but when I dressed him I always put a diaper on him, I only cloth diapers, and only with my first did I use an occassional disposible for when we were traveling or out of town. Also with my second we needed to take many breaks since I was very stressed at that time of my life I couldn't always attend to her potty calls and then she would go on strikes. The more I let go and relaxed and then accepted part time business of it the more she was okay. With my third I decided to have a homehelper around, to help me take him to the potty (after I watched him for about a month to get his signals down and to teach him my signals)
