Infant Potty Training
Has anyone else had an unassisted birth? My first I had a midwife and with my second we did unassisted.

by BabyDio on Oct. 22, 2008 at 9:17 AMNo, I havn't.... but really wanted to..... I 100% believe that birthing is natural and when allowed to run it's coarse is a whole lot better for mommy and baby..... I talked to my SO about having our daughter unassisted...and he was nervous.... but knew it was my body and if I was okay then he'd be okay.... he wanted my dad present cause he'd been around 20 births, some with major complications. While we were in the midsts of planning it, my wonderful (rolls eyes) mother in law stepped in and told him all kinds of horror stories and how we could get the baby taken away ( i knew we couldn't.... my dad is an attorney) so he backed out..... but next time I'd love to at least have a home birth...... I ended up having my daughter in a hosptal with a lot of emotional and phsical problems which has really hurt my relationship..... hopefully next time will go better??? But anyway... I'm soooo happy you were able to enjoy that aspect of birth... not many western women get to and it is truely a blessing!!! |
