OK so it's been a while since I've been on this forum. I decided to wait a little longer with my son. But now he is going pee in is toilet but I was wondering how often I should have to take my 5 1/2 month old son to the potty. I've been taking his every 10 mins and he goes every time. Is that to much and should he be peeing this much?? HELP ME

How long has it been this way/you've been consistant with this pattern?  Does he have any accidents between the ten minutes?   Is his behavior normal, he is healthy?  How much comes out when he goes every 10 minutes?

It's been 2 weeks and I have been easing him into to it so in the morning and in the evenings and Itry to catch it in the middle of the day but every 10 mins is a lot and he gets mad. I don't want him to not want to be potty trained. He does well for about 5-6 potty's then he usually has a accident before the 10 min. His behavior is fine and he's healthy. His pees is a decent amount most of the time since he just peed 10 mins a go so times it is a little. I don't thing he pees as much with the diaper on but with the cloth he goes all the time.

I was wondering about the quantity because it might be a health corn (blood sugar issues) to have excess urination.   I think that you might try what worked for me, anyway, having little tupperware bowls or baby potties around the house, always within arms reach.  Going to another room is great for association, but you want it to be a good association.  ;-)    Does he go diaper free, open-bare butted?

I have him bare butted but with a cloth diaper near so I can grap when needed.  Thanks for your response and I will check on this blood sugar.

"because it might be a health corn"

What the heck is a health corn?!?   LOL!   I meant concern.

And I really don't know a lot abobut that stuff, but children who have excess thirst & urination might be at risk for Type I Diabetes.  This sounds more like you are trying to be sure to catch his pee more than dealing with his needs.  :-)

I'm going to call Dr tomarrow about his peeing but it is only when diaper off. Ya I am only taking him to the potty morning and night all day is way to much as of now!!!

Do you drink any diuretics? When I have coffee (only 5 times since baby was born in July) my daughter pees like every ten minutes for up to 6 hours. That has happened each time I drink coffee. I think a lot of diuretics pass into breast milk.
