I went to the doctor today to get a referal to have a thyroid scan done. While at the visit, he (the dr) looked at my neck and said it looked enlarged. I was confused by this, because I had a total thyroidectomy when I was 20 (I'm now 24)...I also told him that I felt a lump on my left side of my throat and that sometimes my throat would feel tight, swollen, and was painful to swallow. He didn't really give me any answers, just that we would go over the scan once he had the results. However, he did tell me my thyroid levels were "normal".
Now I'm not quite sure what to think. I'm just scared, and probably letting these things get to me. Has anyone else experienced this? Any questions, comments...feel free to post. But I probably won't answer til tomorrow night.
