Today is Yom Teruah ×™×•× ×ªÖ¼Ö°×¨×•Ö¼×¢Ö¸×”
Rosh Chodesh haSheviyi ר×ש חדש בחודש השביעי
Head / Beginning "in The Seventh Month"
Yom Teruah:
5th of The Seven Annual Appointed Times
with Yeshua [Jesus) [Yahuah]
These last three are "in the Seventh Month" of God's calendar.
Yeshua has scheduled with us,
as the Body of Christ,
as the whole House of Israel.
Special times of coming together in a special way.
(see Genesis 12:3, Romans 11:17)
these dates are commonly known as
"The Seven Annual Appointed Times"
"The Mo'edim"
"The Feasts of God"
and various others...
[Yahuah] said to Moshe,
"Tell the people of Isra'el:
'The designated times of [Yahuah]
which you are to proclaim as holy convocations
are My designated times.
"'These are the designated times of [Yahuah],
the holy convocations
you are to proclaim at their designated times."
~ Leviticus 23:1-2,4 CJB
Vayikra [He called} ויקר×
Parashah 31: Emor [Speak]
Yahuah spoke to Moshe saying
"Say to My son, Yisra'el,
in The Seventh Month,
on the first of the month
there will be to you rest [Shabbat]
Remembering
Teruah תְּרוּעָה Torah [Holy Scriptures]."
~ Leviticus 23:23-24 - translation from JPS TNK by me*
'You shall not do any laborious work,
but you shall present
an offering by fire to [Yahuah].'"
~ Leviticus 23:25 NASB
"...The Father and I are one." (says Yeshua)
John 10:30 NLT
(see also Deuteronomy 6:4-5)
Jesus said to the people who believed in Him,
“You are truly My disciples
if you remain faithful to My teachings.
And you will know the truth,
and the truth will set you free.â€
~ John 8:31-32 NLT
Through Him, therefore,
let us offer God a sacrifice of praise continually.
For this is the natural product of lips
that acknowledge His name.
~ Hebrews 13:15 CJB
... no longer pouring out
the sacrificial blood of animals
but pouring out
sacrificial praises from our lips
to God in Jesus' name.
~ Hebrews 13:15 MSG
So if you're serious
about living this new resurrection life with Christ,
act like it.
Pursue the things over which Christ presides.
Don't shuffle along, eyes to the ground,
absorbed with the things right in front of you.
Look up, and be alert
to what is going on around Christ
—that's where the action is.
See things from His perspective.
~ Colossians 3:1-2 MSG
The phrase "Yom Teruah"
for THIS annual special way of meeting with Yeshua
comes from
Numbers 29:1-6
Bamidbar [in the desert/Wilderness] במדבר
Parashah Pinchas [Phinehas]
Yahuah provides us with a fuller picture
of Yom Teruah in this only other account
that I was able to find in the whole Bible
for "the first day" "in The Seventh Month"
This next passage from Scripture comes after the Babylonian exile.
Those from the Southern Kingdom [Judah]
who had returned,
and with the blessings and support of the reigning pagan king,
rebuilt the wall around Jerusalem
and fortified all the gates
in only 52 days!!!
as soon as they were done they settled into the city
and into the Promised Land of Israel after being exiled for 70 years.
all the people gathered together
at the square in front of the Water Gate.
They asked Ezra the scribe
to bring the book of [haTorah] of Moses
that [Yahuah] had given Israel.
On the first day of the seventh month,
Ezra the priest brought [haTorah]
before the assembly of men, women,
and all who could listen with understanding.
While he was facing the square in front of the Water Gate,
he read out of it from daybreak until noon
before the men, the women, and those who could understand.
All the people listened attentively to the book of [haTorah].
Ezra the scribe stood on a high wooden platform made for this purpose.
...Ezra opened the book in full view of all the people,
since he was elevated above everyone.
As he opened it, all the people stood up.
Ezra blessed [Yahuah], the great God,
and with their hands uplifted
all the people said, " Amen, Amen!"
Then they bowed down and worshiped [Yahuah]
with their faces to the ground
Levites, ... explained the law to the people
as they stood in their places.
They read the book of the law of God, [Leviticus, VaYikra ויקר×]
translating and giving the meaning
so that the people could understand what was read.
Nehemiah the governor, Ezra the priest and scribe,
and the Levites who were instructing the people said to all of them,
"This day is holy to [Yahuah] your God.
Do not mourn or weep."
For all the people were weeping
as they heard the words of the law. [Teaching]
Then he said to them,
"Go and eat what is rich,
drink what is sweet,
and send portions to those who have nothing prepared,
since today is holy to our Lord.
Do not grieve,
because your strength [comes from] rejoicing in [Yahuah]."
And the Levites quieted all the people, saying,
"Be still, since today is holy.
Do not grieve."
Then all the people began to eat and drink,
send portions,
and have a great celebration,
because they had understood the words that were explained to them.
~ from Nehemiah 8:1-12 HCSB
Nechemyah [Yahuah comforts] × ×—×ž×™×”
this fulfilled one of the times of this prophecy:
The Spirit of [Yahuah] GOD is on Me,
because [Yahuah] has anointed Me
to bring good news to the poor.
He has sent Me to heal the brokenhearted,
to proclaim liberty to the captives,
and freedom to the prisoners;
to proclaim the year of [Yahuah]'s favor,
and the day of our God's vengeance;
to comfort all who mourn,
to provide for those who mourn in [Tziyon];
to give them a crown of beauty instead of ashes,
festive oil instead of mourning,
and splendid clothes instead of despair.
And they will be called righteous trees,
planted by [Yahuah],
to glorify Him.
They will rebuild the ancient ruins;
they will restore the former devastations;
they will renew the ruined cities,
the devastations of many generations.
~ Isaiah 61:1-4 HCSB
Yesha'yahu [Yahuah is salvation] ישעה
(see also Yeshua's Shabbat reading of this in the synagogue
when He began his public minsitry Luke 4:18-21, a further fulfillment)
"At whatever place you hear the sound of the trumpet,
rally to us there.
Our God will fight for us."
~ Nehemiah 4:20 NASB
"It will come about also in that day that a great trumpet will be blown,
and those who were perishing in the land of Assyria
and who were scattered in the land of Egypt
will come and worship [Yahuah] in the holy mountain at Jerusalem."
~ Isaiah 27:13 NASB
This next account from Scripture was the other place in the Torah and Joshua for "Teruah" that I could find that also excluded the specific mention of shofar and/or trumpet in regard to the "teruah".
Yahuah knocked flat the walls of another city,
when in obedience the people made the Great Teruah.
This is decades after Yahuah instituted the annual Day of Teruah,
so the whole of Israel (millions of voices)
had been practicing Teruah each year, for such a time as this:
No one will be able to stand against you
as long as you live.
I will be with you, just as I was with Moses.
I will not leave you or forsake you.
"Be strong and courageous,
for you will distribute the land
I swore to their fathers to give them as an inheritance.
Above all, be strong and very courageous
to carefully observe the whole instruction [haTorah]
My servant Moses commanded you.
Do not turn from it to the right or the left,
so that you will have success wherever you go.
This book of instruction must not depart from your mouth;
you are to recite it day and night,
so that you may carefully observe everything written in it.
For then you will prosper and succeed in whatever you do.
Haven't I commanded you: be strong and courageous?
Do not be afraid or discouraged,
for [Yahuah] your God is with you wherever you go."
~ Joshua 1:5-9 HCSB
When Joshua was near Jericho,
he looked up
and saw a man [Yeshua] standing in front of him
with a drawn sword in His hand.
Joshua approached Him and asked,
"Are You for us or for our enemies?"
"Neither," He replied.
"I have now come as commander of [Yahuah]'s army."
Then Joshua bowed
with his face to the ground in worship
and asked Him,
"What does my Lord want to say to His servant?"
The commander of [Yahuah]'s army said to Joshua,
"Remove the sandals from your feet,
for the place where you are standing is holy."
And Joshua did so.
~ Joshua 5:13-6:2
Now Jericho was strongly fortified
because of the Israelites—no one leaving or entering.
[Yahuah] said to Joshua,
"Look, I have handed Jericho, its king,
and its fighting men over to you.
~ Joshua 6:1-2 HCSB
"When there is a prolonged blast of the horn and you hear its sound,
have all the people give a [Teruah gedolah] mighty shout. תְּרוּעָה גְדולָה
Then the city wall will collapse,
and the people will advance,
each man straight ahead."
So the people shouted,
and the trumpets sounded.
When they heard the blast of the trumpet,
the people gave a [teruah gedolah] great shout, תְּרוּעָה גְדולָה
and the wall collapsed.
The people advanced into the city,
each man straight ahead,
and they captured the city.
~ Joshua 6:5,20 HCSB
Y'hoshuah [Yahuah saves] יהושע
What was "the remembering"? from Leviticus 23:23-25?
The HCSB gives an interesting Cross reference for Leviticus 23:24
because of the similarity in the wording for Genesis 17:14
[Yahuah] said to Moshe,
"Write this in [the] book to be remembered,
and tell it to Y'hoshua:
I will completely blot out
any memory of 'Amalek from under heaven."
Moshe built an altar,
called it [Yahuah] Nissi יְהוָה × Ö´×¡Ö¼Ö´×™
[(Yahuah) is my banner/miracle],
and said,
"Because their hand was against the throne of Yah,
[Yahuah] will fight 'Amalek generation after generation."
~ Exodus 17:14-16 CJB
Sh'mot [names] שמות
... and the account of Amalek and/or the Amalakites
includes Abraham's defeating them,
Joshua's army defeating them,
while Moshe stood over the battle ground,
when his were arms upraised
upholding the rod/staff of God [rod/staff symbolizes Torah]
the Israelites were winning
so Aaron and Hur helped him uphold his hands and the staff...
to the account of Esther, Haman was from the Amalakites...
by 1 Chronicles, they are finally exterminated.
and so the prophecy was fulfilled.
today most people have no idea that
because the memory of 'Amalek was blotted out,
what could be the origin of the annual celebration
of praising the King of the Universe,
by the whole house of Israel with one voice: Yom Teruah
Yeshua came and talked with them.
He said, "All authority in heaven and on earth
has been given to Me.
Therefore, go and make people from all nations into talmidim,
immersing them
into the reality of the Father, the Son and the Ruach HaKodesh,
and teaching them to obey everything
that I have commanded you.
And remember! I will be with you always,
yes, even until the end of the age."
~ Matthew 28:18-20 CJB
“I am leaving you with a gift—peace of mind and heart.
And the peace I give
is a gift the world cannot give.
So don’t be troubled or afraid. [says Yeshua]
~ John 14:27 NLT
I pray that [Yahuah], the source of hope,
will fill you completely with joy and peace
because you trust in Him.
Then you will overflow with confident hope
through the power of the [Ruach HaKodesh].

Thank You, Yahuah for the past few days,
filled with Your guidance through Your Word.
I am endlessly delighted and entertained by You
and LOVE being in Your presence,
and am humbly grateful
for the privilege of being allowed "to wander around"
in this part of Your mind/thoughts. (haTorah)
