I just finished it, and now I'm reading The Power of Now. When I finish it, I'm going to read A New Earth again. There's so much to absorb. I feel like I'm reading them too fast, cause I want to read it ALL, but I'll go back more carefully next!

Every time I read it, I find something that I didn't see before. Because it applies to me now. It's really an amazing book, I'm kinda shocked that you've read the first 10 pages and are amazed, I thought the first chapter dragged a bit, and generally tell people give it at least 50 pages before quitting on it.

I'm almost done with the book! I love it. I completely understand the pain-body, being aware etc. It's so funny because now I can hear ego in others. My one sister said something mean to my other sister so I told my sister don't listen to her that's just her ego looking for drama! She's so unconscious! **My sister was like WTF???

It might be helpful for you to read the book again. Also watching Oprah's & Eckhart's online sessions was very enlightening. Unless your sisters have read the book, they can't understand what you're trying to tell them. It may be your own ego speaking. Just a suggestion--no judgement.

You learn so much more the second time around. I reread it when I noticed that my pain body and ego came back. I agree with mema2007. I think I remember Eckhart saying that to point out ego in others is ego. You just need to understand that unless people go out and buy the book themselves, and read and fully understand it, you can't do anything to help them. Just try to remain present when you're around them and do not respond to ego and pain body, that's the best you can do. Also I've found that if you catch yourself labeling and being judgemental, don't act on it. Just think ahhh there it is again, try as hard as you can to recognize the thought before it becomes a reaction.
