Hello Everyone,

I just wanted to get things rolling as I have received my first assignment from for this discussion group.  Please introduce yourself on this post.  For at least the next 10 weeks, we will be chatting with each other about the book.  I have received the Web Event Schedule and will be providing a post to share it with you.

I am really excited and I know that the CAFEMOM group can be the biggest and most importantly the most engaged discussion group for this class.

Again, introduce yourself and I will be chatting with you soon.  The book is AWESOME!!

  • Hello, My name is Melody. I am from Northwest Alabama. When I turned 30, the blinders I had been wearing fell off and I started to "wake up". I just turned 40 the last of April and I can say that "Now it gets really interesting!" The past 10 years have been a process of re-learning what my soul had "forgotten". The right things to read always seemed to land in my hands at just the right time. Like stepping stones. I read The Power Of Now then followed it with the downloads of A New Earth from Oprah's classes. I GET IT! :) I have raised my first child, now 17, with those blinders on. My 2nd child, now 19 months old, will be raised with a much more "NOW" mother. I can now relate to my 17 year old much better and I am learning new ways to be "present" for this new little soul that wanted to be born.

  • Hi, I'm Mary. I'm reading the book & I'm just starting chapter 5. I know that I am probably way behind everyone else. My life has been crazy lately & I have not had the time or mental capabality to read the book as often as I would like. This is a geat book & I know that I will gain much by reading it. I hope I'm not too far behind everyone because I really want to be a part of this group. I will be reading the book at least 2 or 3 times to totally absorb it all. This is the best book that I have read in a very long time. Thanks for starting the group, Mary

  • I wish I had found this group sooner. I joined another New Earth group but nothing came of it.

My name is Erika and if any of you saw the first Webcast with Oprah and Eckhart, I was the second person on Skype asking a question to Echkart.

I had sinced finished the book and all the classes.

I have been on this path for a while and like another Cafemom mom said, this just gave "it" a name.

  • I thought I had replied to this post already but I was wrong.  My name is JoAnn and I see that not many posts have been made recently.  I am starting to reread this book because everytime I listen to the class that Oprah and Eckart did I learn something new.  I find I need reminders often because it seems to be sooooo much info.  Anyone else?  Peace to all.
