What do you picture when you hear about cloth diapers? Rectangles of fabric that have to be folded and fastened with pins? Crunchy, hot plastic pants? Rubber gloves while you rinse out poop blowouts?
All of this may have been true for your grandmother, but I would like to officially welcome you to the 21st century of cloth diapering. Now we have velcro, snaps, elastic, adorable prints, and breathable waterproof materials. We have easy to understand care instructions (you can leave the rubber gloves at the store), and we even have our very own trading post. Everything you need to know is in the stickies in the various forums, and there are plenty of experienced mamas who are excited to help you out if something doesn't make sense. We will help you save money and the environment, all while keeping dangerous chemicals and rashes away from your baby.

Group Guidelines/Participation Tips
We work hard to keep this group fun and free of problems. There are only a few extra rules I'd like to put out there.
- Buying, selling, and trading should happen ONLY in the "For Sale or Trade" forum. FSOT posts put in the wrong place will be moved, and if it's a regular problem you will get a warning.
- Work At Home Mom's have their own forum to advertise, please take advantage of it! We love to support our WAHM's, but we don't want our main board to be full of ads.
- If there is swearing in your post, please put a warning in the title. Swearing is allowed here, but mamas who are offended by it should be given the respect of a warning.
- This is NOT a debate forum. I love debate as much as the next person, but there is a time and a place for it. If you can't disagree in a respectful manner, please keep your views to yourself. Post that get out of hand will be locked and possibly deleted.
- If you post a picture of your baby without a diaper (to ask about a rash or simply because s/he has such a cute little butt, please use photo editing software to cover genitals. This is a grey area in the CM guidelines, and I'd rather play it safe. There is never a guarantee of who is looking at your pictures!
- Please avoid deleting posts. CafeMom allows it, and after a long discussion with the rest of the group I have decided to allow it as well. But when you delete a post you are not only deleting your words, but the words of other mamas who have taken the time to answer you. This isn't a rule so much as a request.
- Advertising is for WAHM's only! Please do not create a post to advertise for your group. You will recieve a warning and then your post will be locked. If you continue to do it, you could be banned and your advertisements will be deleted. Ads in siggies is just fine.
- Finally, and most importantly, have fun! This is a fun group, and I would love to see us becoming an online family!
