I found this link the other day and wanted to share it with you:
" I raised my son for 4 months.
"I was silently coerced. After the papers were signed, his adopters
cut me out of his life and called it the perfect “open adoption
solution”. For next 20 years, I suffered from PTSD , low self-esteem,
and dissociative disorder. I had to rely on antidepressants and
perscription drugs to block out my pain and was told by others to “get
over it”.
" But there is nothing “perfect” about open adoption and it is not a
“win-win” situation. Every day, there are single, young women being
silently coerced into giving their babies up for adoption. Adoption
should serve the children that need parents, not the childless couples
that need children. It’s time to do something about it.
