my blog post "Sorry Mrs. Smith" has generated debate over at
http://www.cafemom.com/answers/299394/Have_you_seen_this_adoption_story
People don't think it's real -- or think that i've committed some huge crime by telilng the story in a North American context that readers can identify with. They don't see the coercion that happened to this mother and father.
Wanted to let you know in case you wanted to read and respond in "Answers"
Mei-Ling and I published the story of the real-life adoption that happened, and I added a link to is at http://www.cafemom.com/answers/307705/International_Adoption_story_Is_this_ethical_of_the_hospital_and_agency,
Unfortunately, there are several adoptive mothers who are getting very nasty towards Mei-Ling.
Are there any natural moms or adoptees here who would be interested in providing support?
Cedartrees, I am late in catching up on my group post....however I contributed my responses in te post you speak of. It is a shame when others, attack, because it hurts to much to admit that this is real, and maybe, just maybe, they too harbor some guilt in their OWN journey. ust guessing, but too much of the replies, were very defensive in nature, and led me to believe, there really are people still in denial. Blessings, C.J.
