Hi, hope all is well...what did the doctor say about Charlies feet?  Did he give him less time in the brace?  We take Lilly on Thursday to her ortho.  She has only had her brace for 4 wks so I am sure she wont get less time, i wouldnt want it anyway.  I think when they do give her less time, i will still let her wear it more.  Lillys physical therapist said her feet were great, moving in all directions.  I am excited to see what her ortho. says too!!  Take Care All and I update..

The doctor was very pleased with Charlie's feet.  Said that they look great!  I am soo happy...the braces are working beautifully, and Charlie doesn't have a problem with them.  He will still have to wear them at night until he is about 3 1/2 years old.  We did get bigger shoes...that is the only thing that I hate because they make marks on the backs of his ankles until the leather is broke in.  Other than that everything went well.....please post back after Lily's appointment :)  and Have a Great Day!!

Please see the bracing document at http://ponseti.info/parents as it has the standard protocol for wearing the brace along with the statistics for relapse by age (i.e. when they stop wearing the brace at a certain age, what are the chances that they'll relapse).  You should be trying to keep your son in the brace until age 4 at minimum, or 5 for the best chances against relapsing. :)  You might want to discuss the relapse statistics with your doctor if he's not aware of them. :)

I'm glad he had a great check up!
