My name is karrie im 32 and have a 9 week old boy named James. my husband and i moved here in anchorage AK from Chicago. all my friends and family are in IL. his family is here. im homesick and trying to make new friends i wk full time outside my home.My husbands works nights so we hardly see each other.

I live in the valley, about an hour away. We flew up Dec. 24, 2010, so we've been here a year now. I know what you mean.

I don't mind driving snow, but this lately is a bit much for this Oregon/Cali girl LOL! When the weather gets a bit better, I wouldn't mind doing lunch in Eagle River. When the weather's really good, I wouldn't mind doing the zoo... that might be a few months though :)
