Huntington Beach Mamas
Hello! Our son's doctor, part of the Greater Newport Physicians group, told us that all GNP doctors have only multi-dose flu shots this year, which are not to be given to children under 3 years of age. CVS does not give shots to children under 18 months of age. So, where do we get a flu shot for our nearly 15 month old son?
Have any of you vacinated your children under age three in Orange County, CA this season?

by justinejoy on Nov. 15, 2008 at 1:58 PMI am part of the same group.. I see Dr. Reese, and my boys are going on the 24th - my youngest is going to be one the day before, so he is supposed to get his regular vax and then also the flu shot, my 22 month old is also supposed to get his flu shot that day.... I am kind of ignorant about some of this stuff, so what does multi dose mean? not for children under 3?? what the heck... so what are they planning on giving my boys? sorry all the questions, I am concerned now... by LuvMyChloe on Nov. 15, 2008 at 4:22 PMOur ped said not to worry about a flu shot unless your LO is in daycare/school. Mine is almost 20 months old and in daycare with 3 other kids. Dr. said no flu shot needed. I've never had a flu shot either. |
