Since my son was playing with his sword the morning and singing It's a Pirates life for me, I can't stop thinking about pirates. So for this week's diecut challenge we want to see at least one large layered diecut that reminds you of pirates! When you post your project, tell us why your cut(s) reminds you of pirates.
Don't forget to tell us what cart(s) you used for your newly completed card or LO.
Complete this challenge and earn yourself 1 Scrappy Football!
great page marci, but i dont think that titles dont count as diecuts, i may be wrong but that was my understanding of the rules. i love the polka dots tho
Sorry about the wait Marci. Usually titles don't count as die cuts, unless specified. Is your title one large die cut? If it is one cut (welded) then it can count. I can't tell if it's separate letters or not.
how about a bird w/a patch? there is a cute one on birds on parade. or just a chest that you can add some gold pieces to...paper dolls has a cauldron that I used for a pot of gold...a map with "X" that marks the spot
Quoting MarciLB:Jen and Marilyn...please let me know...I wanted to do the title layered with a treasure chest but out of 36 darn cartridges...there wasnt a single solitary thing!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!..that is very annoying!!!...i just assumed it was anything die cut....thanks Dawn!
on paper doll dress up, the accessory button for the girl pirate is a treasure chest
It was one all connected word in Graphically Speaking...then I cut it 1/4 inch smaller and disconnected the letters to make it fit and meet the layered criteria as there was no blackout etc on this one....so it sounds like it qualifies but I will search my carts to see if I can add to it....Is that ok??? ...I saw which carts had things that applied when I searched mycricutsearch.com and also my gypsy but (and I still cant believe it!) but none of my carts had anything!!!!!!
Marci
well yep then it sounds like it qualifies to me too. i hope you know i want trying to be mean or anything, but a few times girls have had to redo things and stuff and i didnt want you getting called out by someone or anything
