If your an adoptive parent, having already adopted or wanting to, or you are a birthmother who is looking for a family this group is for you. The group is more intended for those interested in doing a private/independent adoption rather then a agency. In the state of illinois, if you decide to do a private adoption for a newborn or child, you do not need a homestudy. everything is done with you and the birthfamily, and also a attorney. if you do a private adoption with a birthfamily whom is in another state by law you will still need a homestudy. Thats why i made this group more for people in illinois, but if your not that is ok also. everyone is welcome!!! I was adopted at 3 days old through a private adoption and my expierence with it has been wonderful. So any advice feel free to ask anytime. Enjoy and welcome to the group!
