He reminds me of Guiliana in his ability to conform to radically different ideologies and parties as it suits his desire to be in office. That is an opinion based on my own research. If you google /news or search his votes and positions through-out his political career, ( http://projects.washingtonpost.com/congress/members/b000169 ) you will get a more objective over-all picture then, over course, his own web site would provide.

Former Congressman Barr took that opportunity to share with the world that he was opening up an exploratory committee......his speech is on there.

Now, there is alot to learn about Con. Barr and his comrades, as I'm learning from a trusted friend.  Please do take the time to learn all you can before making your decision in November.....

All I know is that I cannot tolerate McCain in the White House and will do everything possible to make sure that doesn't happen.

I want to thank you for bringing up this subject. I took a good part of the day to do research on Bob Barr. I have to say, that I just about agree with most of what he has to say and what he stands for. I'm not saying I've suddenly become a Libertarian, because I have not, but I want to vote for someone I believe could be a good president, not just vote for someone other than Obama or McCain. I've decided that Bob Barr is going to get my vote this election, and I think my husbands also. I know that my vote isn't really going to count because we live in California, and we all know that Cali is and will most likely ALWAYS be a Democratic state. I don't care though, I have to stand up for what I feel is right for me and this country, so regardless of what the majority says here in CA, I'm (hopefully we) am voting for Bob Barr!

Good inquiry!!

I'm the Missouri State Coordinator for the Barr/Root campaign.  What I can tell you is that Bob Barr is a former Republican who has seen the light, the den of iniquity that has become the Republican party.  The proof's pretty much in the puddin' there.

His past record is not very Libertarian...see for yourself.  He voted for the Patriot Act, for example...but has come out and said why that was a huge mistake.  Some of his other leanings were called into question as well.  He's proving to be true to his 'Libertarian word' as far as anyone can tell.  Everyone else is waking up, why not him?!

What he has been able to do though is to work within the Libertarian party for many years is stand up the the Washington establishment with vigor.  Did you happen to see him in the Impeachment hearings last Friday on CSPAN?  Well they weren't called that, but that's what they were essentially.  He was brilliant.

Yep! I watched it online! I do agree, he was pretty awesome! I think he is a good choice so I'm glad I took the time to find out who he is!
