A couple of our friends were able to attend the Campaign For Liberty/Rally for the Republic in Minneapolis. We didn't know they had plans to go, so imagine our surprise when they dropped by our house just a minute ago with an autographed copy of Ron Paul's book, The Revolution: A Manifesto .... for us!
They were beyond excited about the whole experience ... couldn't say enough good things about Ron Paul, Jesse Ventura and all the Patriots at the Rally.
We'll be getting together with them for dinner soon and I'll be sure to report back here with all the details.
What a wonderful surprise!

I just found this group today. This is great! So many people who want and love our freedom that we used to have and want back!!! I am still a Ron Paul fan but now will be voting for Chuck Baldwin. At least Chuck is like Ron in that he has never changed his views. He is always for the Constitution and our rights. I still would love to see Ron jump back in as the two main parties is such a joke. Oh yeah, I am Brenda, 46, married , with 15 kids/stepkids, 3 of whom are still at home. Look forward to getting to know you all.
Hi Jan, your friends were right. The experience goes beyond my ability to share. So many ideas. I'm still processing the experience.
I can, right now, share this: after I found my seat and acclimated some to the hugeness of Target Center, I decided to go back outside. At the exit, Target security told me I couldn't leave the building until everyone had come in. I said excuse me did I understand that you said I can't leave this building? He said "yes, you can't leave, I can't let you leave." I was so dumbfounded for a moment that I just starred at him. I couldn't believe what I was hearing. Finally I said, "OK, you can't let me go out, who can?" He said "no one, but you might try going into the restaurant and using their exit." I did that and it worked.
Later in the day, I exited through a back door. Outside were bunches of young people, their attitude and garb made me feel like I stumbled through a time warp into 1969. Felt right at home.
When I decided to go back into the arena, a few of the "kids" I'd been talking to went with. Deferring to age, they lined up behind me for security to scan our tickets back in. My ticket wouldn't scan. The security guard with hands on hips got in my face and started scolding me. "Did you exit through a door that said exit no reentry?"She said. "I didn't see a sign like that, but I did go out a back door." I said.
"And what do you think those signs mean? She continued in that vein for a while and then said. "You have to understand, that keeping people safe at polical conventions is paramount."
By this time the group that had come in with me were no longer lined up, they had surrounded me. The security guard decided to let me back in.
Does it seem funny" one of the young men said to me, "that at the Campaign for Liberty we are herded like sheep for our own safety?"
" Yeah." I said. But it was a lie. I didn't want him to know that I have become so inured to those kinds of things that they barely register.
