INTRODUCTION

I'm a stay at home mom, married 22 years, 3 kids (17, 14, 12) and we took in an 18 year old boy recently. We are a Christian family in New Mexico. I'm 45, have multiple sclerosis and suffer from migraine headaches, but overall, I'm pretty healthy. I love the natural beauty of our state and take time to enjoy it often. I hate housework and laundry. I have a cleaning lady once a week, and my husband does most of the laundry. Our house is the "open" house for all the local teenagers and our front door in always revolving. I love reading, cooking, beading, weaving, photography, bible studies and journaling/writing.  Hope to have some interesting talks and make some new friends.  Marissa

Nice to meet you Marissa :o) Your house sounds a bit like mine. I have four kiddos - twenty, eighteen, seventeen and one knocking on thirteen's door. We've taken on the role of family to another seventeen year old boy as well. Never a dull moment. Good thing about that is there is always something to write about!

Two of my boys are special needs as is the young man we've taken in. Autism and bipolar being the main issues. They've taught me more than I think I have taught them I think. By the way, I hate laundry and housework too.

I'm glad you found your way to Whispered Words. We've been far too quiet around here for far too long. I hope to read your musings soon.
