"Ghost" (my newest).

My words flow like blood from a wound,
As all of my senses become finely tuned.
The pain from consequences burns like acid,
And you can't see past the paper thin facade.

Scars have resurfaced that never truely healed.
These wounds will always remain,
With no hope of being sealed.
Reopened with each new betrayal,
My pain hovers like an unremovable vail.
It makes me easily jarred,
Irreparably frail.

You think I'm not scarred!?
I am the definition of DAMAGED.
I wear my scars like badges,
My anger as my armor,
And my pain like a cloak.

The venom is rising like bile,
And it's making me choke.

The last part of me that's human is honesty.
Something no one can ever take away from me.

 

 

I always enjoy hearing people's opinions on my work, whatever they may be. Please share them :) I do write from my heart and love what I do therfore my work is very personal to me - so please, no outright bashing of my work. If it's not your thing, it's not your thing. By bashing I mean something like "you should stop writing because you suck horribly" or "you should go kill youself you emo piece of crap". Things like that lol

It's evident your words come from the heart . . . While this piece is personal it is also relatable, many of us have felt this way. I love the last lines . . .

The last part of me that's human is honesty.

I hope to read more of your work, we've been far too quiet around here of late. I don't think you'll have issue here with bashing or negativity. We've never had trouble with anything of that nature. Some constructive criticism here and there, egos get checked at the door so to speak.

 Thank you very much :) I'm glad people can relate to my work. I'm looking forward to sharing more and reading others work :)

I am part of a site called MoreWriting so I am used to constructive criticism and very much welcome it :) It helps me improve upon my work. While I am very proud of my writing I still look for ways to make it better and do not look down on anyone for theirs. You will like and dislike certain things about my writing, and I will like and dislike things about yours. I was just stating the last bit because I'm sure some people could be petty like that. Not to say people here are, but you know what I mean. My ego was definitely checked at the door lol I look at this as a chance to get my writing out there for people to read.
