Imagine

When the trials of this world overwhelms me,

War, hate and darkened skies,

When all is too much for me to see,

I take a moment and close my eyes…

And imagine a place where the pain is gone,

And the darkness turns to morn,

The sounds of the angels song,

I forget of how I am torn.

I sing Amazing Grace how sweet the sound,

Into my heart I Sing this song,

The visions of streets made of pure gold,

Upon not one tear shall fall,

For He who gave His life for my sorrow,

Will be there to bring peace to all.

When life has brought me down so low,

I can not look towards the sky.

I know His love surrounds me so,

As peace doth draw nigh.

I imagine that day I see my Lambs face,

Peace surrounding my pain,

Then I see Gods loving grace,

As my tears fall like rain.

Healing my heart from such dismay,

God places His hand into mine.

Looks at me as to say.

“My child there’s no need to cry”

I was reminded of the verse that says:

Revelation 21:4 (New International Version)

4He will wipe every tear from their eyes. There will be no more death or mourning or crying or pain, for the old order of things has passed away."

While I am most definitely not religious myself I liked the idea of this. It's nice to close your eyes and think of a world without pain, fear, defects. The religious references could be a metaphor for so much more, to those who aren't religious. But I am sure it hits deep for those who are :) Well done.

lol @ your picture. I want the pin!
