Yesterday being Veterans Day..... renewed my faith in the world a little bit. Everywhere I went I seen gratitude. Signs all over thanking our Veterans. Companys offering free goods to Veterans. People going up to strangers and thanking them for their time and service. It did my heart good. As I was sitting there eating with my son and explaining to him why Mom was tearing up..... It made me sad and proud. Proud that there are still good people in this world that live by the morals and compassion that made this counrty so great. But on the other hand I just want to scream why cant we the people be this way all the time. Not just on Holidays! Last night I watched the special on Extreme Home Makeover. They were raising money for our Veterans. Homeless Veterans. It was so nice to see donations for our people, right here in our country. We have many opportunitys to serve our people on a daily basis. It is so easy to go on with life and forget this till a Holiday reminder. I am making it my personal goal to volunteer for what ever I can to help who ever I can. Please join me and lets make the compassion that comes out in us on Christmas and Veterans Day and Thanksgiving happen everyday.
