I have a 2 year old daughter who is seriously giving me a run for the money. I am looking for advice. She often wakes up totally exhausted. I can always see it on her face first thing. So I leave her in her crib in the morning for a while. This morning after she started talking, I checked her diaper, gave her her pacifier and left her in her crib for 30 minutes in the hope she'd go back to sleep. No luck. So I took her downstairs and gave her some milk, and then all she did was walk around and cry. I try to give her breakfast, and she freaked out. So I took her back up to her crib to let her rest. I give her her pacifier, her blankie, and she rolls around and yells and screams. So I go in, offer to get her dressed and take her down to eat breakfast. Or just to take her down to play. Because of my large, 24 week pregnant belly I can't reach her in her crib until she stands up on her own. Well she won't stand up to go downstairs. So she rolls around and yells in her crib and won't stand up to go downstairs, and when she's downstairs she walks around and cries. I have no idea what to do. I gave her some books to read in her crib, and she's quieted down. But do I just leave her in there until she falls asleep which is what I KNOW she needs to do, or is that going to create more misery since she is extraordinarily stubborn and just won't settle down? I am so frustrated and sad, and can't help but feel like I am doing something so wrong. I love this kid more than anything and I just want to do the right thing. Any advice would be so greatly appreciated. Thanks, Sarah
