Has any one made plans to plant a garden this year?
It was so nice today. And I wanted to do something in the yard so we covered my veggie bed with tarp to kill off a few weeds that have come up. The weeds should be dead in 3-4 weeks. I am so ready for some home-grown tomatoes, squash, pepper and hush my mouth! I am just thinking ahead.
We also pruned the crepe myrtles and cleared out some honey suckle vines that had taken over the azaleas.
Looking forward to spring, but not the allergies.
I hope we have a nice long spring, don't like going from cold to hot.
It's been really nice here. My bulb flowers are blooming, the squirrels are out and about in my backyard and the grass is getting greener everyday. I still have to clear out pine cones and straw in my garden spot. I hope to do that in a couple more weeks. I want to plant an early garden, but I'm scared that we'll have cold snap and I"ll end up having to do things all over again.
In NB,Canada we're still in the daydreaming and planning stage of gardening but REALLY looking forward to getting out in the dirt!!The piles of snow we had last week are almost gone so even though the temp. dropped back down today it feels like spring is truly coming. I'm envious of those people already out there, lol. soon enough....
